Johnson & Associates is
so happy to announce our new association with David
Partlow, Principal, Business
Recruitment and Retention (BRR) Consulting,
based in Austin, Texas.
David
founded BRR Consulting to help rural communities
implement economic development strategies that promote economic stability and
growth.
BRR
accomplishes this mission by partnering with communities to mobilize an existing
strategic plan or by helping to create and activate a realistic and achievable
work plan. As business retention and recruitment specialists, BRR Consulting’s focus is on job creation and capital improvements.
David
gained experience building Economic Development Corporations on a shoestring
budget during the 18 years he spent working as an economic developer for rural
Texas communities. He has been the Executive Director for the Borger and
El Campo City Development Corporations and the Dalhart, Brownwood and Giddings,
Texas Chambers of Commerce. He recently worked at the Capital Area Council
of Governments in Austin, Texas for ten years in their economic and regional
development departments. Having served on various state economic development
committees, as Vice-President of the Texas Incubator Association and
receiving the Louise Citizen of the Year Award, David’s success at helping
existing businesses and industries earned him a write up in the Wall Street
Journal in 1997.
David offers a full range of affordable services through BRR Consulting to
assist rural communities with budgetary and/or staffing constraints that prevent
them from implementing the business recruitment and retention strategies outlined
in their community’s strategic plan. Communities can pick and choose
from a menu of need-based services, or opt for a full package of services based
on 40, 60 or 80 hours a month. Options are client-friendly for strict budgets.
This partnership with communities enables David to mobilize and activate a
realistic and achievable work plan aimed at promoting economic stability and
growth through job creation and capital improvements.
